HIGH RESOLUTION LAYERS

Brief description: High resolution layers (HRL) is a dataset created by using „Copernicus" Earth monitoring program data. It provides information on specific land cover characteristics for 2015. The layers are complementary to land cover / land use mapping such as in the CORINE land cover (CLC) datasets. The data is created by using satellite photos and combining automatic image processing with interactive, rule-based data grouping.

HRL contains these classes:

  • Imperviousness layer capture the percentage and change of soil sealing.
  • Forest layer is divided into two parts - tree density, which contains tree cover density data from 1% to 100%, and dominant leaf type layer, which shows broadleaved or coniferous majority.
  • Grassland layer, which shows the distribution of grasslands in various states: natural, semi-natural and used for farming.
  • Water and wetness, which shows the occurrence of water and wet surfaces over the period from 2009 to 2015. This layer is divided into 4 parts - permanent bodies of water, short-term water bodies, permanent wetlands and temporary wetlands.

TRAFFIC ACCIDENT INFORMATION SYSTEM DATA

Brief description:Traffic Accident Information System Open data, linked to geographical coordinates and summarized in statistical grids at smaller scales. Provides information on traffic accidents in which people were injured or killed. Data is grouped by the type of accident.

GEODETIC AND CARTOGRAPHIC MATERIALS FUND

Brief description: Geodetic and cartographic materials fund contains ortophotografical and topographic maps in various scales (from 1:10 000 to 1:200 000) in digital format. The maps are georeferenced and have metadata.

GEOGRAPHIC REFERENCE GRID (ETRS89)

Brief description: This dataset contains geographical geographic reference grid, created in ETRS89 Lambert Azimuthal Equal Area projection. The dataset contains three various grids: 1 km, 10 km and 100 km.

GEOGRAPHIC REFERENCE GRID (LKS94)

Trumpas aprašymas: Geographical statistical cells for the territory of Lithuania. Coordinates System: LKS-94. The data set includes the size of cells ranging from 100 x 100 m to 10 x 10 km. The data covers the territory of the Republic of Lithuania with territorial waters an exclusive economic zone and an additional buffer zone of 15 km.

RELIGIOUS HERITAGE OF LITHUANIA

Brief description: This dataset contains various religious heritage of Lithuania (places of worship of various religious communities). Every point of interest contains this data: full and shortened name, religious community (owner), structural material, complexity, state status, adress and municipality. The author of the dataset is Edgaras Žukauskas. The dataset is based on Department of Cultural Heritage under the ministry of Culture database.

EDUCATIONAL ESTABLISHMENTS OF LITHUANIA

Brief description: This dataset contains all operational educational establishments of Lithuania, using the data of education end science institution registry (Švietimo ir mokslo institucijų registras, ŠMIR). This dataset contains the types, names, contacts, of such establishments. It also provides data on nonformal educators.

STRUVE GEODETIC ARC POINTS

Brief description: Struve Geodetic Arc points. The data set contains all triangulation points of the geodetic arc. The Struve Arc is a chain of survey triangulations stretching from Hammerfest in Norway to the Black Sea, through ten countries and over 2,820km. These are points of a survey, carried out between 1816 and 1855 by the astronomer Friedrich Georg Wilhelm Struve, which represented the first accurate measuring of a long segment of a meridian. The original arc consisted of 258 main triangles with 265 main station points. 34 of the original station points are listed as a UNESCO world heritage site and are marked with different markings, i.e. a drilled hole in rock, iron cross, cairns, or built obelisks. Other points are protected under national laws, as Struve Gedetic arc is not only a historic site but is also still in use today. Lithuania has 18 geodetic arc points, of which 3 are a part of the UNESCO world heritage site. The data has the following attributes: the original and the current name of the point, point creation date, administrative unit, status, type of mark, condition of the mark.

ADMINISTRATIVE DIVISIONS OF INTERWAR LITHUANIA

Brief description: This dataset contains administrative divisions of interwar Lithuania, converted to digital format using a map „Mapa rozsiedlenia ludnosci polskiej" from 1929, which was created in 1:750 000 scale. The Lithuanian portion of administrative divisions are shown excatly as they were used in 1923 census and written in a publication "Lietuvos gyventojai. Pirmojo 1923 m. rugsėjo 17 d. visuotino gyventojų surašymo duomenys" (Kaunas, 1925 m.). If you find any errors, please inform us by writing an email to info@geoportal.lt.

DATA OF THE TOURIST MAP

Brief description: Data of the tourist map  dataset contains tourist information centers and places of interest (UNESCO objects, museums, galleries,  architectural monuments, castles, mounds, sights, etc.). every point of interest contains name, adress, brief discription and link to a website . The data was collected by having various Lithuanian tourist centers enter the data in an internet application created by Geoportal.lt.

ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD OBSERVATION DATA

Brief description: Radiotechnical objects and accumulated electromagnetic observation data presented as density of electromagnetic flow with maximal allowed value 10 W per sq.meter. Observation is conducted by operators of radiotechnical objects coordinated by the National public health centre in accordance with regulation issued by the Ministry of Health on March 2, 2011. Measurement points are located in visibility field of the antenna of a radiotechnical object; near constructions – at 1.5 meter above ground surface. Observation parameters are specified in the hygienic normative regulation HN 80:2015 approved by the Ministry of Health on March 2, 2011. (Elektromagnetinis laukas gyvenamojoje aplinkoje.
