The project  "Online Geographic Information Training for SDI Capacity Building in Lithuania" has been carried out in 2006–2008. 227 specialists of state and municipal institutions in Lithuania were trained to use geographic information and newly developed Lithuanian geographic information infrastructure for better management and decision making.

The project was managed by the National Land Service of Lithuania. Training materials were prepared by the professors of Vancouver Island University (former Malaspina University, Canada), Vilnius Gediminas technical university and Lithuanian University of Agriculture. JSC "HNIT-Baltic" was responsible for project management and technical support.

Here you can find the training materials that have been prepared for the project – 9 courses of scope and complexity  corresponding to university Master  programme level, 10  each, 90 ECTS credits total.

They are available on this site free of charge in English and Lithuanian.

The training materials also encompass practical assignments and test questions for each course in both languages. They may be available in English upon individual request.

The copyright of all materials belongs to the National Land Service of Lithuania. The copyright holder and year of publication must be always indicated.
